Beth grew up in LaGrange, GA and received her degree in Zoology/Conservation and Biodiversity and minor in Psychology from Auburn University. She began her career at Georgia Aquarium in 2011 and worked in various departments, including Animal Training-Dolphins as an intern, Commissary prepping meals for the animals, and Mammal & Bird working with penguins and sea otters. Her career trajectory shifted after meeting a little girl in a penguin encounter who led Beth back to Auburn University to graduate with a second degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. After working at Camp ASCCA for a summer, Special Olympics Georgia, and Make-A-Wish Georgia, she found herself back at the Aquarium in 2021 in her current role. Beth oversees Georgia Aquarium’s small donation programs, community support program, and critical illness visits. In her free time, Beth enjoys swimming, hiking, and hanging out with her pup, Peter Parker.
