Jerry L. Harris, Vice President of Information Technology and Cybersecurity
Jerry L. Harris serves as the Vice President of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. In this role, Jerry leads the Information Technology and Cybersecurity operations to secure the aquarium’s technology, data, and infrastructure while focusing on strategy and the organization’s innovative future.
Jerry joined Georgia Aquarium in the Fall of 2005 as the Manager of Audio-Visual Services. Under his leadership, Jerry built teams known for their ability to create impressive displays within the galleries and behind the scenes. As technology emerged over the years, Jerry and his team embraced the convergence of AV and IT while expanding the aquarium’s innovative initiatives.
In 2021, he accepted the responsibility of assembling a new team of IT professionals to restore consistency, stability, and security of the aquarium’s IT infrastructure and data while providing excellent customer service to its stakeholders.
Jerry is an active member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Association of IT Professionals (Atlanta Chapter). and is a valued leader within the 100 Black Men North Metro Atlanta Chapter. He lives in Metro Atlanta area with his wife and their teenage daughter.
