Time for Taxonomy

The ocean has gone through countless changes over time to resemble the underwater world we have today, and its organisms have adapted to a changing environment too. Join us as we look at modern ocean animals and how they’ve changed compared to their prehistoric relatives. We’ll dig into fossils and explore fascinating adaptations of animals, past and present, as we travel back in time to examine our evolving ocean.

Event Information

  • All guests are required to purchase a homeschool ticket in advance.
  • Ticket sales for each event will close at 12:00 PM the day before the event.
  • Participants may enter between 9:00am-12:00pm. Aquarium access will be available once open to the public. Check-in & entry into the Tuesdays in the Field event will end promptly at 12:00pm. Guest arriving after 12:00pm will not be granted entry into the event.
  • You must provide a letter of intent (or other state authorized document showing home school status) with your ticket or confirmation number upon arrival. Guests who are unable to provide proper documentation will be asked to enter via the Main Entrance and pay the full price of admission.
  • All students must be accompanied by a chaperone. Chaperones must be 18 years or older and are encouraged to actively participate in activities and monitor student behavior.
  • All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will not be given for any unused portion of your order, such as no-shows or cancellations.
