How to Apply to the Aquarium

  • Georgia Aquarium Employees Requirements
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Submit to a criminal background check.
    • Submit to a motor vehicle report.
    • Pass a drug screening.
    • Provide education documentation.
    • Employment eligibility verified by E-Verify.
    • Must present valid forms of identification as listed on the federal Form I-9.
    • Pass a dive physical (certain positions).
  • Application Process
    • To see current job openings, scroll to the top of the Career page and click the “Apply Now” button for Georgia Aquarium, Inc. current openings.
    • Select prospective job.
    • After reviewing the job description and qualification, if interested in applying for the position, select “Apply Now” or “Apply with LinkedIn”.
    • Next, create a profile and password to log into the system. Once created, applicants will be able to update and add information to profile as needed.
    • Applicants that have previously applied at Georgia Aquarium Inc. from September 20, 2013, must enter the email address and password used to create the account. Please do not click on New Resume/CV if an account was created previously.
    • Applicants must follow the steps to add information or update previously submitted information and apply for the new position.

  • Recruiting / Interview Process

    After applying for a position online the Human Resources Department (HR) and/or hiring manager will review the applicants resume to assess qualifications and suitability for the position.

    Applicants are chosen for interviews based on several criteria’s:

    • Full completion of application
    • Skills
    • Experience relevant to the job.
    • Desired salary
    • Work history.
    • Professional references, etc.

    Prior to an interview, HR or the hiring manager may contact you to provide additional information.

    If selected for an interview, the interview may be in person or virtually. Interviews may be one-on-one with the hiring manager or a panel interview with multiple interviewers.

    Some steps in the application may allow advancement without answering the questions; HR strongly recommends answering each question completely.

    The interview process may take up to several weeks from the date of application to final selection. It is important to be responsive to any communication from Georgia Aquarium throughout the process.
