Sponsored Education Admissions

Georgia Aquarium offers a Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Grant open to Title 1 schools and select non-profits located in the State of Georgia. This grant provides free self-guided admission when visiting with a field trip, ensuring that diverse audiences, regardless of economic status, have an opportunity to experience the wonders of the Aquarium. We’re able to provide the SEA Grant thanks to private charitable donations from generous corporations, foundations, and individuals.

 

 

Application Information

Please Review the Following for Application Processes & Requirements
  • The SEA Grant only covers self-guided general admission and does not include the potential cost of transportation, parking, meals, or any other related field trip costs.
  • Eligible for all Title 1 Schools in the State of Georgia and select non-profits.
  • Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.
  • Applications must be accurate and completed in its entirety to be considered.
  • One application submitted per educator.
  • Maximum of 150 students covered per application. Additional students and/or adults will be an added cost.
  • Maximum of 3 approved applications per school.
  • Applications may take up to 6 weeks to be reviewed.
  • Approved groups from your school cannot visit on the same date.
  • Dates available Monday – Friday from August 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025. Dates unavailable May 2025-July 2025.
  • Arrival times available between 9:30am – 3:30pm, subject to availability.
  • Entire group must be present before allowed entry to the Aquarium.
  • If you have submitted a reservation form for a paid field trip, you will be disqualified from receiving the SEA Grant.

  • After I submit my application, when will I receive a response?

    We accept applications on a rolling basis and do our best to send approved/denied emails as quickly as possible. Applications may take up to 6 weeks to be reviewed. We thank you in advance for your patience.

  • Can we bring our own lunches?

    We are unable to allow outside food or drink into the facility, and we are unable to store any lunches or coolers. There are multiple areas to picnic near Georgia Aquarium, and we have meal options available for your group to purchase in advance.

  • Where do buses park?

    Buses park in the Georgia World Congress Center Marshaling Yard. Information on how to purchase bus parking will be included on the confirmation email if application is approved.
