Events Services Intern

Georgia Aquarium is currently seeking an Events Services Intern! Interns learn about and assist with the execution of special events ranging from social functions (weddings, bar mitzvahs, etc.) to corporate parties and non-profit fundraisers.

Interns shadow Events Services staff in all aspects of events including pre-planning and preparing the event space, meeting with catering Captains for day of run-through, on-site management of event timeline, managing event volunteers and event completion/closing functions to gain a full understanding of how the department operates. Individuals will gain hands-on experience in event management from an operations and venue/facility perspective. Event interns will also gain an understanding of administrative duties and assist the Manager of Event Sales and Services and Coordinators in day-to-day office tasks.

The internship is a three-part program which allows the participant to grow from shadowing event coordinators to becoming the lead of events at Georgia Aquarium. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
