In Honor or in Tribute of a Loved One

Tribute gifts can be made in honor of special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or holidays. Your gift will support our efforts to fulfill our mission by educating students and guests to promote worldwide conservation of aquatic biodiversity.

Upon receipt of your gift, an acknowledgment of your contribution is immediately issued to the designated recipient. And as with all gifts, we will acknowledge the donor with a thank-you letter containing the appropriate tax language.

Donors of $1,500 or more can choose to have their loved one permanently listed on our memorial wall. These gifts perpetuate the memory of the individual’s life and work and translate into a legacy for future generations.

Individuals who establish planned gifts including Georgia Aquarium as a beneficiary become members of the esteemed Legacy Society, designed to recognize donors who have chosen to help assure that Georgia Aquarium remains at the forefront of aquarium experiences worldwide for years to come.

Planned gifts typically meet tax and investment planning needs of individuals while providing a future gift to help ensure the long-term support of Georgia Aquarium and our mission “to be an entertaining, educational, and scientific institution featuring exhibits and programs of the highest standards, offering engaging guest experiences, and promoting the conservation of aquatic biodiversity throughout the world.”

Get an Aquarium License Plate

Support our Research & Conservation efforts starting today by purchasing your tag from the Georgia Department of Revenue. Upon purchasing your tag through your local tag office, your tag will be mailed directly to you within 7-10 days. To learn more please visit the Georgia Department of Revenue website.

You do not need to wait until your birthday to apply for a plate! Your registration and annual ad valorem will not be affected by applying before or after your birthday. The manufacturing fee is $25 per vehicle. If you currently have a specialty plate or vanity plate, your new Georgia Aquarium license plate will replace it.

Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, Georgia Aquarium hosts many events that benefit our Research & Conservation efforts, our Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) program or our Military Salute Program.
