Holiday-Themed Decor and Atmosphere

Experience the Aquarium’s atrium completely transformed into a winter wonderland! The galleries are filled with dazzling lights, themed decorations, festive music, and our 40-foot live tree, making it the perfect backdrop for memorable holiday photos.

Special Holiday Events

1. Holiday Tree Lighting: Join us in the atrium at 10 a.m. every morning as we kick off each day of the holiday season by lighting our 42-foot live tree! Be sure to view this magical moment, which is included with your general admission ticket. It’s an event filled with holiday magic and perfect for families of all ages.
2. Photos with Santa Claus: No holiday season is complete without a visit with Santa! During your trip to Georgia Aquarium, snap a photo with our very own seaside St. Nick. Santa will be available on select dates and times, ready to hear holiday wishes from kids of all ages. 
3. Scuba Claus: Catch Scuba Claus diving in the Ocean Voyager exhibit, spreading underwater holiday magic among whale sharks and manta rays! Don’t miss this unique holiday treat, available on select December dates at 12 p.m.
4. Live Music: Every weekend now through December 22, enjoy live performances from the talented ensembles of Georgia State University School of Music. From 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., let the sounds of your favorite holiday classics fill the air and brighten your visit.
