The Georgia Aquarium provides an exciting educational experience for students in grades K-12. We have developed a sponsored admissions program in an effort to ensure that diverse audiences, regardless of their economic status, have an opportunity to participate in these educational experiences. Through the generous contributions of local businesses, foundations and corporations, we will provide thousands of students with an opportunity to experience the innovative educational programs that we have developed. Our sponsored admissions program will allow the Aquarium to achieve the goal of providing a unique educational experience to a wide range of students throughout the state of Georgia.
Qualifications:
- Title 1 school (K-12) located in Georgia;
- Title 1 pre-K school located in Georgia (main Aquarium only);
- Non-profit organization located in Georgia serving Title 1 students;
- Need for financial assistance; and
- Desire to learn more about the aquatic realm!
Application Process
The deadline for submitting 2007-2008 education sponsored admission applications was Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Please check our website at www.georgiaaquarium.org under Education Programs in August for the 2008-2009 sponsored admissions application and registration process. We thank you for your interest.
Please complete all sections of the application below and submit the form via fax to 404.581.4199. You will be required to list three possible dates for your students to attend an education program. Requested program dates should be at least four weeks from the date you submit your application. Available programming dates are subject to the discretion of the Georgia Aquarium. Afternoon programs typically have more availability than morning programs.
If selected, you will be notified within one week of receiving your application. The number of schools selected to receive sponsored admissions will be based on the availability of funds.
