Photography Workshop at Georgia Aquarium
Atlanta (December 1, 2008) –
Learn how to "shoot the Aquarium" during this hands-on one-day workshop and seminar covering everything you need to know to shoot successful photos through the acrylic at the world's largest aquarium, the Georgia Aquarium.
The program includes private access to the Aquarium for two hours of uninterrupted shooting and behind-the-scenes photo opportunities during the workshop. The session includes a seminar portion, which covers equipment, lighting, exposure, white balance, composition and creative techniques via digital, slide-illustrated lecture and handouts. The time in the Aquarium will concentrate on the most photogenic exhibit areas with personalized, one-on-one instruction.
In addition, Dr. Bruce Carlson, former director of the Waikiki Aquarium and Georgia Aquarium's Science Officer, will present a lecture where he will show and discuss some of his work, including cutting-edge HD video of aquatic animals. Marj Awai, senior biologist at Georgia Aquarium, will show still images and share techniques for getting good photos in the Aquarium.
